Palais at the German Theatre/Residential and office building
Berlin Mitte
The Palais at the German Theatre with 21,000 sqm of leasable space in absolute prime location of the German capital houses the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds (GKV) and a 5,600 sqm residential area. In the middle of the construction phase, the building was handed over by the then owner to the responsibility of a project subsidiary of Transumed. Since the takeover of the 93-million-euro project it was completed without any further delays. The office and residential building designed by the star architect Kleihues + Kleihues convinces not only by the inner-city park location, but also by technical and design sophistication: The partly floor-to-ceiling windows and special glass doors in the office area provide much brightness, while cooling ceilings and / or air conditioning systems Temper the building. Areas with underfloor heating, underground parking and various other amenities such as the elaborate LED lighting system and flush-mounted speakers make the Palais-office a true “technological miracle at the highest level”.
